Trip date: April 23-24., 2016
This year we again went on a trip for football. The same crew - I, my brother and our sons – Berlin was chosen this time. Hohenzollern is one the most impressive castles that we saw. The castle is located in Baden-Wurtemberg about 60 km south of Stuttgart.
It is the ancestral seat of Hohenzollern and a very popular tourist destination. Hundreds thousands of people visit it every year. No wonder, it is on magnificent  place in the foothills of the Swabian Alps. The location promised an awesome view of the surroundings. Read More...

Trip date: July 26., 2014 - August 2., 2014
Until 2014 we did many short trips to Germany, but the first long holiday we made in the summer of 2014 was Schwarzwald (Black Forest). Schwarzwald is mountain range in the Southwest part of Germany in the state Baden Württemberg. It is not as high as the Alps but all tourist materials promised amazing scenes of nature and a huge number of landmarks.
We chose a location in the middle of the mountains in the town Todtmoos. It was a starting point for our trips around the entire Schwarzwald. It is a nice small town surrounded by a stunning nature. Read More...

LINDERHOF - CASTLE, AMAZING GARDENS AND A BIZARRE MUSIC HALL

Trip date: July 4., 2014
Everyone knows Neuschwanstein. But there are more notable buildings of King Ludwig II in the Bavarian Alps. One of them is Linderhof. Linderhof is almost the opposite of Neuschwanstein. Neuschwanstein looks like a medieval castle with fortification, built on the hill for defensive reasons. Unlike Neuschwanstein, Linderhof is a low two-story building, built in a valley, surrounded by wonderful extensive gardens. Read More...

GLÜCKSBURG - THE CASTLE IN THE NORTH

mini
Trip date: June 30., 2015
In the summer of 2015, we spent our holiday in the north. Our son had a softball camp in Denmark that year, so we gave him a lift and combined it with our holiday. We visited the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, and stayed two nights at a hotel in Kolding in the western part of Denmark. We stayed in Denmark only as long as necessary, and as usual for me, I planned most of our holiday in Germany :). Read More...

STUTTGART - EARPLUGS DO NOT TASTE GOOD

Trip dates: October 18. - 19., 2014
After our successful trip to Nuremberg for football, we immediately started to consider what will be the next destination. Stuttgart was a natural choice: Less than 5 hours from Prague, a great stadium for more than 60000 people, and there are two great technical museums of two great car manufactures - Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. WEDENDORF - CASTLE HOTEL

Trip date: July 2-4, 2015
We spent our family holiday in summer of 2015 by taking trips around the north of Germany.

When I was planning this holiday, I realized that we have a special round (Já nevím, co to znamená) wedding anniversary and I got an idea: instead of standard hotel I could book something special.
I am an experienced user of booking.com. As a rule I try to find something good and cheap. For this time I made a change. Read More...

HAMBURG - WUNDERLAND AND MARITIME CAPITAL OF GERMANY

Trip date: July 6, 2015
We travelled around the north Germany in the summer of 2015. And it was clear that one of the destinations that we could not omit was Hamburg. I had a great deal of knowledge about this city.
• I knew that it is the country's biggest port and the second-busiest in Europe,
• Despite the fact that it is a seaport, it is a distance of 100 kilometers from the North Sea.
• I knew that it is also Germany's second largest city with a population of over 1.8 million.
• I knew that there is the glorious red-light district Reeperbahn, where the Beatles as teenagers played here in a local club.
• I knew that there two well-known football clubs: Hamburger SV and FC St. Pauli. Read More...
