Until 2014 we did many short trips to Germany, but the first long holiday we made in the summer of 2014 was Schwarzwald (Black Forest). Schwarzwald is mountain range in the Southwest part of Germany in the state Baden Württemberg. It is not as high as the Alps but all tourist materials promised amazing scenes of nature and a huge number of landmarks.
We chose a location in the middle of the mountains in the town Todtmoos. It was a starting point for our trips around the entire Schwarzwald. It is a nice small town surrounded by a stunning nature. Read More...

LINDERHOF - CASTLE, AMAZING GARDENS AND A BIZARRE MUSIC HALL

Everyone knows Neuschwanstein. But there are more notable buildings of King Ludwig II in the Bavarian Alps. One of them is Linderhof. Linderhof is almost the opposite of Neuschwanstein. Neuschwanstein looks like a medieval castle with fortification, built on the hill for defensive reasons. GLÜCKSBURG - THE CASTLE IN THE NORTH

In the summer of 2015, we spent our holiday in the north. Our son had a softball camp in Denmark that year, so we gave him a lift and combined it with our holiday. We visited the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, and stayed two nights at a hotel in Kolding in the western part of Denmark.
